Today a strong woman fighting cancer from my school died. She was 20 years old.
In art, a memento mori is a reminder of death. It's sad that sometimes people loose sight of how blessed their life really is; complaining that you have a lot of homework, a paper to write, a project to do, you have to go to your job or work out. Stop for a moment. Some people don't have the opportunity to go to college. Some people don't even finish high school. Thousands of people are unemployed. Some people don't have two legs to go running with. Think about the roof over your head and the food in your kitchen. Think about your health. We need to be grateful for the gifts that we look past every day. Be thankful that you are blessed with so much and have so many people around you who support and love you. Thank them today and thank God. Stop and enjoy the little gifts that you're provided with every day. Make the most of every day.
